Love Library (Night 1 & Night 2)

Cocktails in NYC are $22 dollars. Stop wasting money at the bar only to go home alone, and join us for a bookish night in Brooklyn, drink and date included.

Whether you're single and looking for love, or just single and looking for something different to do, the Love Library is a literary event where book lovers come together to meet someone new. Presented by Reparative Reading in collaboration with The Backspace at Brooklyn Artery.

This event occurs on 2 consecutive nights, May 22 and 23 — May 22 is for our straight pals, May 23 is for our LGBTQ+ fam, so we can maximize everyone’s chances of meeting someone they’d like to flirt or even pair up with.

Both evenings, we'll start the night with 30 minutes of unbothered reading time — just bring a book and prepare to dive into the pages in a cozy setting.

Over the next hour you'll get to mingle with other book lovers, enjoying drinks, flirtation, and good conversation. We'll help to facilitate a nice circulation in the room, giving everyone a chance to chat and connect with a variety of new faces and maybe meet someone special :)

If you love the vibe of someone you chat with, let us know! If both of you express interest, we will link you.

Because we care about your time and your love life: Doors open at 7:45pm and we aim to begin promptly at 8pm. Please be on time; the event will be delayed until everyone arrives. We aim to wrap at 9:30pm. If you cannot arrive on time, or stay for the full event we ask that you do not purchase a ticket.

Tickets are $25 per person.
