VocalEase Workshop: Intro to Singing

Are you a shower singer? Aspiring karaoke star? Someone who just loves to sing but wants more access to their voice? This workshop is for you!

Singing is a practice that has greater purpose than mastery or high level performance. It’s a human impulse, available to anyone who wants to release emotion through sound and body. Singing is proven to decrease stress, help your sense of belonging and connection, and even improve overall breathing and lung function. The principles learned in vocal training can be applied across many areas of your life to improve overall well being.

In this workshop we will explore the fundamentals of singing and how it works, sonically and inside of our bodies. This will include exploration of diaphragmatic breath, the forming of vowel sounds and shapes to produce sound, resonance in our bodies and in space and some light vocal practice to see how your singing can be further unlocked!
